So I sadly find myself in the unenviable position of trying to find a new place to live (the reasons for which may make good fodder for a lengthy future discussion). So like millions of others, I have turned to that place known as classified heaven…Craigslist. For about two weeks now I take a little bit of time each day to scour the listings, searching for that perfect room, apartment, and roommate. In the process of this endeavor I quickly came to realize something: Apparently everyone in the world seeking a roommate is “laid back”, “easy going” and “doesn’t want drama.” Go check for yourself. It seems as if only perfectly well-adjusted people, who never have any conflicts with anyone are the only people who seek roommates. Not only that, but they all desire roommates who are exactly like them. Nearly every post reads like the following:

“Easy going, laid back male/female seeks like-minded easy going laid back roommate. Please no drama.”

It’s as if Craigslist is populated by like a million Jack Johnsons. I just find the whole thing very comical. In an effort to start a new trend on Craigslist, I have decided to make my own roommate post which can be found here.
